Role Overview

The Service Delivery Manager role involves motivating and supporting a clinical operations team to achieve high performance, quality, compliance, and excellent customer service. This is achieved through effective team management and close collaboration with Clinical Practice Leads, Clinical Auditors, and the Head of Operations to ensure smooth contract delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Clinical Assessment Centre sessions, including remote delivery.
  • Lead, develop, motivate, manage, and retain qualified staff across clinical and support roles.
  • Oversee daily resource management to ensure efficient assessment delivery, including remote assessments.
  • Manage staff performance using the HAAS Performance Excellence Framework, including regular reviews, coaching, and development.
  • Report performance metrics regularly to the Head of Operations.
  • Foster staff engagement through reviews, feedback, and action plans.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to enhance service delivery and claimant experience.
  • Communicate effectively with teams, partners, DWP, and other managers.
  • Share best practices and resources across teams.
  • Ensure sufficient trained onsite First Aid, H&S, and Fire Marshal resources at the Assessment Centre.
Essential Criteria
  • Strong interpersonal skills and management experience.
  • Knowledge of resource management and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining quality and productivity.
  • Effective networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in managing performance and staff engagement.
Desirable Criteria
  • Understanding barriers faced by individuals with physical and mental health difficulties regarding assessments.
  • Knowledge of the HAAS purpose and approach.
  • Willingness to undertake Lean Six Sigma training (Yellow/Green belt).
