EY is seeking a Service Delivery Center, Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data platforms, pipelines, and cloud data applications for financial services clients. You will design data models, implement ETL/streaming solutions, and own data workstreams from design to production support.

The role requires Snowflake, ETL, Kafka, and cloud platform experience, plus Python, containers, and Kubernetes. Travel up to 30% may be required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering and cloud data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and enterprise data platform development.
• Experience with ETL, streaming, and integration technologies (Informatica, SnapLogic, Kafka).
• Data modeling, SQL, database design, and performance tuning.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud; Python, containers, Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy).
• Comfortable in Agile environments and collaborating with stakeholders.

The opportunity

As a Technology Service Delivery Senior, you’ll be based in our Service Delivery Center, which is made up of high-performing US-based colleagues who work closely with our experienced advisory professionals. We deliver Technology project-based work and managed services to our clients. Here, you’ll work as part of a project team and will be responsible for the design, build/configuration, testing, analysis, delivery and support of Technology solutions. This position is fast-paced and ever-changing, which means you’ll need to be a flexible self-starter and be able to manage changing priorities and learning new and rapidly changing technology solutions.

We are looking for Data Engineers who will build scalable data platforms, pipelines, databases, and cloud data applications for our financial services clients. The team leverages Snowflake, ETL and streaming technologies, cloud platforms, and modern engineering practices to modernize enterprise data ecosystems. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role that spans the full data lifecycle.

Your Key Responsibilities

The goal is to help clients solve complex business problems by delivering scalable, reliable, and well-governed data solutions. You will build resilient batch and streaming pipelines, design data models and cloud data applications, apply data quality standards, and own assigned workstreams independently from design through production support.

Skills and attributes for success

• Working knowledge and hands‑on experience building data platforms, pipelines, and cloud data applications using Snowflake.
• Working knowledge and hands‑on experience with ETL, streaming, and integration technologies such as Informatica, SnapLogic, and Kafka.
• Working knowledge of data modeling, SQL, database design, and query performance tuning.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and of Python, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Build resilient batch and streaming pipelines, and apply data quality, lineage, and observability standards.
• Own assigned workstreams independently from design through production support, and resolve production data issues.
• Collaborate across product, engineering, testing, and operations teams, and mentor less‑experienced team members where appropriate.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:
• New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $78,600 to $146,100
• Bay Area California offices – $81,900 to $152,100
• All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $65,500 to $134,000
• Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
