Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Service Delivery Center in the US. You will work with diverse teams to deliver AI and data services, increasing data value for financial services clients and building scalable data platforms in the cloud.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering and cloud data platforms
• Experience with business, management and technology concepts
• Experience with ETL suites and DBMS
• Knowledge of data reporting solutions and data visualization
• Practical experience with SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle or DB2 and SQL syntax
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
• Role is at least 60% in-person engagement to support teaming and delivery

Your key responsibilities

Yo will be working with diverse teams of professionals with different skill set to deliver a wide range of AI and data services. As part of that, you’ll need to be a team player with great communication skills, and have the desire to learn the technical skills required to fill the role.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering and cloud data platforms
• Experience working with business, management and technology concepts
• Experience in computer software configuration and development with any of the following technologies: ETL Suites (Informatica, Infosphere, Ab Initio, SAP), DBMS
• Knowledge of data reporting solutions, including the ability to leverage pivoting data, graphs and charts
• Practical experience with different types of databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, Access, Oracle and DB2
• Knowledge of SQL syntax
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A willingness and ability to travel up to 30%
• Consistent with EY’s collaborative working model, the role is expected toinclude at least 60%in-person engagementinsupport of effective teaming and delivery, subject to client and business requirements.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Certification on any database management system, any reporting or data visualization or any programming or statistical language
• Working knowledge or certifications in cloud technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS or Azure
• Experience with Financial institutions

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:
• New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $78,600 to $146,100
• Bay Area California offices – $81,900 to $152,100
• All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $65,500 to $134,000
• Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
