Job summary

Tony's Fresh Market in Illinois is seeking a Service Deli Clerk to assist customers, stock high-quality deli items, and ensure strict food safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will provide product suggestions, assist with special orders, and help maintain clean, well-organized displays while supporting overall store operations and exceptional customer service. Weekly pay, scheduling flexibility, and development training opportunities are included.

As a Service Deli Clerk, you will provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders while you provide our customers with exceptional customer service. You will stock cases and ensure that our customers have a variety of high-quality deli items to choose from. You will ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work. You will clean and sanitize dishes, food preparation areas, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting and building rapport with customers.

• Basic department cleaning upkeep.

• Must be comfortable working with a slicer and/or sharp objects to execute duties.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required.

• Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment.

• The work environment is typical of a retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.

Disclaimer: Pay scale $15.00-$20.10 The pay scale above is the hourly wage range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. *Manager roles have a bonus target potential paid out quarterly based on company results/metrics.

Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and other factors including, but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training.
