Job summary

Family Service seeks a Service Coordinator II to lead service delivery, supervise staff and contractors, and strengthen community partnerships. The role focuses on aligning services with Social Determinants of Health through a trauma informed approach.

The position requires an Associate’s degree and at least four years in the field, with bilingual English/Spanish desirable. Regulatory awareness and budget involvement are part of the duties.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in the respective field.
  • Experience in working in a collaborative environment building organizational and stakeholder relationships and planning, required.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable.
  • Certificate or license, as applicable by the State agency.
  • State of Texas vehicle operator’s license and proof of liability insurance, as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clients have access to all five pillars of the social determinants of health with a trauma informed lens through Agency services and/or community partners.
  • Supervise and provide oversight of day-to-day operations of assigned projects to ensure program operations conform to agency policies and procedures and customer service expectations.
  • Supervise staff by monitoring accountability responsibilities (i.e., activity or service reports and documentation, approval of time sheets, travel, requests for paid time off, and conference registrations), consulting with supervisor on performance appraisal and staff development training.
  • Actively support, participate in, and contribute to the achievement of program goals, objectives and activities as defined by the service plan and as directed by the designated Manager.
  • Communicate the rationale, methodology, and goals of the agency and program to community groups and organizations through written materials, oral presentations and media appearances; and participate in multi-agency coordination and collaboration activities to support the service delivery plan.

Job description

The Service Coordinator II manages the delivery of services to maximize community impact and is responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships, supervising staff and contractual team members and volunteers, collecting client and service activity data and inputting client and service activity data while ensuring that services provided are in alignment with the Social Determinants of Health through a trauma informed care lens as defined by the agency. The Service Coordinator II is also responsible for: assisting with writing proposals for program, developing and forecasting budget, managing budget, attending monthly budget and reporting, supervision/coordination, subcommittee meetings, peer review, departmental, and external and internal reporting of delivery of services; managing and maintaining training files, training registration, trainer packets, processing of checks/money orders for return/deposit, processing of check requests for program materials and supplies, and other financial paperwork.

Job Functions:

  • Communicate the rationale, methodology, and goals of the agency and program to community groups and organizations through written materials, oral presentations and media appearances; and participate in multi-agency coordination and collaboration activities to support the service delivery plan.

Education/Training/Experience:
  • Associate’s degree in education, health, social work, child growth and development, early childhood or other related human service field, required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, you must be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, and taste or smell.
  • You may be able to lift up to 25 pounds, have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust your focus with good hand-eye coordination.
TIMES WORK WILL BE PERFORMED:

The agency’s hours of operation are extended and non-traditional, and may vary based on office location and/dor stakeholder requirements. Employees are asked to work the schedule that is best suited to the achievement of deliverables and stakeholder requirements based on the agency’s posted business hours, or as required by stakeholder and contractual requirements. Employees who work in an exempt position are paid on a salaried basis and are not entitled to overtime pay. The amount of salary is intended to compensate the employee for all hours worked to perform the required job.
