Smart & Final in Torrance is seeking a Service Clerk to support customers, manage shopping carts, and assist with loading merchandise into vehicles. The role includes price checks, stock replenishment, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write English; interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carts in the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into shopping carts and loading into their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel.
• Return merchandise to proper shelves and straighten aisles; face merchandise as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness at store entrance and throughout the store; sweep, mop and restock restrooms as needed.
• Support store maintenance and overall shopfloor organization.
