Job Summary:
The Service Chief of Cornea and External Diseases will provide oversite and leadership across the clinical, educational and research missions. This position will be responsible for managing several employees, and the incumbent will lead the staff and strategic planning for the section, setting and executing goals to advance patient care and the reputation of Division and Department. This position will play a key role in the executive leadership within the department. This role will have a named Endowed Chair and will be provided a startup account for recruitment and program development. In addition to base salary and benefits, all full-time faculty are eligible for the Department of Ophthalmology incentive plan.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Associate Professor: $250,000 to $400,000
Professor: $300,000 to $500,000
Leadership Stipend (all ranks): $75,0000
Incentive (all ranks): $100,000 - $300,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
