Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Service Chief for Child and Adolescent inpatient services at our Towson Campus. The location is a hub for core psychiatry services including inpatient, day hospital, urgent care, neuromodulation, research, and other mental healthcare services. The campus has five child and adolescent inpatient units providing exceptional care.

The Service Chief is responsible for ensuring quality psychiatry services on the inpatient unit. The role combines administrative and clinical duties, including seeing about 10 adolescents daily and participating in the weekend inpatient attending pool. The Service Chief collaborates with the Nursing Unit Manager to meet quality and performance goals. This position reports to the Medical Director for Child and Adolescent Services.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing acute psychiatry care, work well in an interdisciplinary team, and focus on both quality and continuity of care.

Requirements:

  • Current license to practice in Maryland
  • Completion of a Child Fellowship
  • Board certification in Child Psychiatry
  • At least 3 years of experience in child and adolescent inpatient care

The salary range is $240,000 to $305,000, determined by factors such as board certifications and experience.
