Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, seeks a Supervisor, Operations I in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to oversee daily Service Center activities and lead loading/unloading teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to safety and productivity. It involves outdoor work, varied hours, and a focus on meeting service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; experience may substitute education.
• 2+ years leadership experience preferred.
• Transportation experience preferred but not required.
• General computer knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of freight, transportation regulations, safety standards, and proper freight handling preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading with safe, on-time operations.
• Communicate assignments and monitor performance across shifts.
• Maintain load plans and balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks according to unloading and loading schedules.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
