Kenny Kent Toyota is seeking a part-time service cashier in the Service Department. The hours for this position are 3pm - 7pm Monday - Friday and every Saturday 7:30 am - noon. This is perfect position for a college or high school student (must be 18) or a retired person. The chosen candidate will have an outgoing personality, like working with the public, be able to handle hectic situations, and have the ability topass a background check and drug screen.
SUMMARY
The Service Cashier is primarily responsible for receiving payment from customers for goods and services and accurately accounting for it, answering phones and assisting customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Computes or re-computes the customer's final bill using the dealership computer system.
* Receives and issues a receipt for cash, checks and credit card payments, following the procedure set out for accepting payment. (e.g. checks verified, etc.)
* Records amounts received in the computer and secures monies in the register/drawer.
* Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
* Reviews and records totals as shown on the receipt tape and verifies against cash on hand.
* Refers customers who have additional questions or complaints to the service advisor or other appropriate person.
* Maintains Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) rating as set by manager.
* Ensures all service records are filed timely and accurately.
* Greets customers in a timely, friendly and professional manner. Let customers who are waiting know that they will be helped soon.
* Answers phone and directs call to appropriate person.
* Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.
