SUMMARY
Receives payment for service and parts transactions and plays a key role in maintaining or creating customer satisfaction
ESSENTIAL DUTIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Greets customers as they arrive in a pleasant and professional manner.
Computes customer bills
Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
Makes change and issues receipts to customers and denotes the method of payment on the receipt.
Provides cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise as dictated by company policy.
Maintains accurate cash drawer and reconciles daily
Refers customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance or repairs, etc. to the service advisor or other appropriate individual.
Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individual for resolution.
Maintains and files repair orders, parts invoices, and lists missing documents
Closes all open invoices and ensures that all repair orders and supporting documentation are scanned into the electronic filing system and appropriately categorized for efficient recall.
Checks the company's designated human resource site bi-weekly and completes all required training
Maintains a professional appearance in keeping with departmental guidelines.
Keeps work area neat and clean
Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
