Job summary

Putnam County Schools is seeking a Half Day School Bus Operator to operate school buses and transportation vehicles according to the Putnam County Board of Education schedule. The role requires a Class B CDL with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements, driving experience, and successful safety screenings.

Qualifications

• Holds a Commercial Driver's License, Class B, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements.
• Passes the required physical examination.
• Has three years of experience as a licensed driver.
• Passes the Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Check.
• Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening.
• Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
• Holds First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator's Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses and transportation vehicles as provided by the West Virginia Board of Education.
• Location and length of routes may vary; determined by Coordinator of Transportation based on students needing transportation.

Job Description

The Half Day School Bus Operator is responsible for operating school buses and other school transportation vehicles as provided by the West Virginia Board of Education.
