West Virginia K-12 Jobs in the Putnam County School District seeks a Half Day School Bus Operator (Bus #1205, D1) to operate school buses and related transport vehicles.

Required: CDL Class B with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements; medical exam; 3 years’ driving; DMV record check; drug/alcohol screening; 40 hours classroom and 20 hours behind-the-wheel training; First Aid/CPR; WV School Bus Operator’s Certificate.

This role covers 200 instructional days with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements.
• Passes the required physical examination.
• Has three years of experience as a licensed driver.
• Passes the Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Check.
• Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening.
• Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
• Holds First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator's Certificate.

Service Salary Schedule . Salary based on experience and education level per Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package to include: PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, and free vision and dental insurance.

Job Description

The Half Day School Bus Operator is responsible for operating school buses and other school transportation vehicles as provided by the West Virginia Board of Education.

Qualifications

• Holds a Commercial Driver's License, Class B, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements
• Passes the required physical examination
• Has three years of experience as a licensed driver
• Passes the Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Check
• Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening
• Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
• Holds First Aid/CPR Certification
• Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator's Certificate
