Description

Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.

We are currently seeking experienced Service Attendants to join the team at Mississippi State University. POP provides daily food service to MSU’s student athletes via the Training Table and provides food & beverage for other athletic events. This position will work with the front of house team and be in and out of kitchens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting food stations including transporting hot and cold food items throughout the service area.
  • Replenish food items as needed and directed.
  • Operate and provide service at interactive stations, e.g., build-your-own smoothies.
  • Serve and clear food and beverages quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper techniques.
  • Keep work area clean and coordinate with the FOH Supervisor for flawless customer service.
  • Manage time effectively.
  • Assist in managing inventory and with event setup and breakdown.
  • Report to the FOH Supervisor and perform tasks to ensure successful events.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in cleanup and area flipping for subsequent service.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of serving and/or front of house experience.
  • Experience in high-volume catering or food service preferred.

Work Environment

This role mainly involves working at the Student Athlete Training Table, moving between kitchen and food service areas, including coolers and freezers. The position may require moving across campus and stadium grounds on various terrains.

Uniform Requirements

Adhere to company uniform policies as outlined in the Associate Handbook and orientation guidelines.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged standing, moving through event spaces, and traveling between venues.
  • Bending, lifting, and carrying equipment and food items.
  • Ability to lift approximately 30 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits
  • Hourly wage from $11 to $13 per hour.
