Job summary

Allied Orion Group is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Associate for daily pool and grounds upkeep at an apartment community in Houston. The role supports the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, focusing on cleaning, safety, and routine maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate has 6 months in customer service or related fields, with on-the-job training provided. A high school diploma is preferred; city/state pool operation certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of stable employment in customer service or related field.
• On-the-job training is available for this entry level role.
• Must have city/state required certifications/permits to perform job responsibilities (e.g., pool operations).

Responsibilities

• Remove trash from office areas and common areas daily.
• Clean and maintain the pool, monitor chemical balance, and update logs.
• Check pool gates for proper operation and security of area.
• Clean carpets in vacant/occupied units as directed by Lead Maintenance.
• Water plants and lawn where applicable; report irrigation issues.
• Power wash as preventative maintenance as needed.
• Assist with cleaning offices, grounds, common areas, and vacant apartments.

JOB SUMMARYResponsible for daily pool and grounds maintenance for an apartment community.REPORTS TO: Community Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor.SUPERVISES: None.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Remove trash (i.e., papers, cup, cigarette/cigar butts, boxes, pet waste, etc.) from office areas and apartment community common areas daily.Clean and maintain pool daily. Monitor and maintain proper chemical balance of pool water. Update pool logs and/or records.Check gates to pool area for proper operation and ensure that they are always secured.Clean carpets in vacant and occupied units as directed by Lead Maintenance.Water property plants, flowers, and grass in between scheduled visits or in absence of lawn care contractor. Report any malfunctions of irrigation system to Maintenance Supervisor and/or Community Manager.Power washing as preventative maintenance.Trash removal from vacant units.Assist Housekeeper with cleaning office, grounds, common areas and vacant apartmentsEXPERIENCE OR SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGESix (6) months stable employment in customer service or another related field.
