The Service and Repair Technician is responsible for building, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of various sized trailers and equipment. The Tech handles weld preparation, welding, weld finish, and the assembly and troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems using company and customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of trailers, trucks, and other equipment.
• Read job orders, blueprints, and schematics to complete projects.
• Install a variety of complex systems, including hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose issues as they arise and communicate effectively with a variety of partners.

Qualifications

• Prior mechanical background required.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance in a variety of positions.
• Proficient in using tape measures and other measuring devices.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic operations: add, subtract, divide, and multiply.
