Job summary

North American Trailer is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician for our service trucks in our trailer shop. The role focuses on complete repair and maintenance of semi-trailers and other trailer types, requiring mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with weekly pay and overtime opportunities.

The ideal candidate will perform inspections, diagnose issues, conduct repairs, and ensure safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair trailers.
• Detail oriented with focus on quality workmanship.
• Welding experience a plus; basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trailers and diagnose condition through inspections and tests.
• Repair and maintenance of semi-trailers and various trailers including brakes, suspension, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Perform component installation and after-sale services as needed.

As we continue to grow and expand as a company we are hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician for our Service Trucks in our Trailer Shop. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, willing to jump in and help out where needed, clean driving record, and a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of semi-trailers, as well as, all other styles and sizes of trailers.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
• Provide after-sale services, such as component installation
• Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
• Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
