Job summary

NTW - National Tire Wholesale in Baton Rouge is hiring full-time Service and Delivery Drivers to provide excellent service and safely deliver products using company vehicles. The role also supports warehouse organization.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring valid driver’s license, DOT readiness, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. At least 1 year of delivery or box truck experience is preferred, and a clean MVR is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of delivery or box truck experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to obtain a DOT Certificate.
• Clean driving record (MVR) and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Must be able to operate company vehicles safely and follow DOT hours guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and courteously within policy.
• Pick, stage and load trucks as requested.
• Adhere to DOT hours of service requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of products and procedures.
• Deliver tires/equipment along assigned routes.
• Handle COD payments per policy.
• Keep vehicle and work area clean and secure.
• Provide exceptional customer service in line with company values.
• Wear the provided uniform and operate MHE as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Starting Pay: $20.00 – 21.00 per hour dependent on experience.

Sign On Bonus: $1000.

Service and Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering excellent service to our customers by delivering product in a professional and safe manner using company vehicles. Also assisting with the general maintenance and organization of inventory within the warehouse.

This full time Warehouse Delivery Driver position can lead to career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

In this friendly work environment you will be responsible for:

• Operate company vehicles in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner within TBC policies
• Pick, stage and load trucks as requested
• Understand and adhere to DOT regulations including hours of service requirements
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of products and operating procedures
• Adhere to pre-determined route sequencing when delivering tires/equipment to customers
• Securely handle COD (cash or check) when applicable as required per company COD policy
• Maintain a clean, safe and secure vehicle and work area
• Maintain exception Customer Service based on our People Focused Values
• Come to work in a Clean and Laundered Uniform that is provided by NTW
• Operate various MHE (Material Handling Equipment) in a safe and efficient manner as needed
• Other duties as requested or needed

Added Responsibilities

• Safety 1st Mentality
• 1+ years of experience, box truck experience and/or delivery experience preferred
• 1+ years of no At-fault accidents,
• clean MVR
• Maintain a current driver’s license relevant to the types/classes of vehicles driven during company business
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Certificate while operating an NTW vehicle
• Must be 21 years or older
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively while bending and twisting and ability to occasionally lift more than 50lbs
• Complete Driver Vehicle Inspection reports as required by company policy and DOT regulations
• Abide by all Federal, State, and Local laws
• Employment is contingent upon a conditional offer and completion of all required pre-employment screenings, as permitted by law.
