Job summary

At Baxter Subaru Omaha, we seek a Service Advisor to greet guests, answer calls, set appointments, and help identify mechanical problems through questions, inspections, or road tests. You’ll prepare repair orders with time, cost and labor estimates, describe concerns to help the technician locate issues, and clearly explain work and charges to customers.

Your Purpose as a Service Advisor:

• Greet and assist guests, answer phone calls, and assist with setting appointments.
• Help identify a mechanical problem by asking investigative questions or by performing a visual inspection and/or road test.
• Confer with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures, and prepare work order for needed repairs.

• Write a brief description of the customer's concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem.
• Explain the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
• Resolve customer concerns in an effective manner.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle

Additional Qualifications:

• Customer service experience required
• Service advising or other automotive experience strongly preferred
