Job summary

Van Horn Dodge of Plymouth in Wisconsin is seeking a Service Department Sales Consultant to join a team that values customer experience and professional service. This full-time, on-site role focuses on greeting customers, assessing their vehicle needs, and presenting recommended maintenance with clear cost estimates.

No prior automotive experience is required as training is provided, and there is a strong emphasis on teamwork, reliability, and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Previous customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Must be organized, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and pleasantly.
• Walk around the vehicle with customers to identify needed repairs.
• Review maintenance history and make recommendations.
• Sell recommended service work based on diagnosis.
• Provide written repair estimates and timeframes.
• Inform dispatcher of incoming work and customer needs.
• Follow up with technicians and parts to ensure timely completion.
• Notify customers of status and warranty coverage.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and send digital invoices.
• Review completed work and charges with the customer.

Your Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly and pleasantly
• Perform vehicle walk around with customer to determine needed repairs.
• Review vehicle maintenance history and make recommendations
• Sell recommended service work to customers based upon mechanics diagnosis
• Provide the customer with a written cost estimate of repairs and an estimated time needed for repairs
• Inform dispatcher of incoming work and ensure customer’s needs are understood by the technician
• Follow up with technicians and the parts department on the progress of repairs to ensure timely completion of work
• Notify customers on the status of their vehicle
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage and administer claims for qualifying repairs
• Follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
• Review completed work and charges with the customer and/or send a digital invoice for online payment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
• Must be organized, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
