Van Horn Dodge of Plymouth is seeking a professional Service Department Sales Consultant. This full-time role involves greeting customers, detailing vehicle maintenance needs, and selling service work based on mechanic diagnoses.

You will provide written estimates and timelines, coordinate with technicians and the parts team, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service process. No experience is required as we provide comprehensive training and promote from within.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Must be organized and reliable.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly and pleasantly
• Perform vehicle walk around with customer to determine needed repairs.
• Review vehicle maintenance history and make recommendations
• Sell recommended service work to customers based upon mechanics diagnosis
• Provide the customer with a written cost estimate of repairs and an estimated time needed for repairs
• Inform dispatcher of incoming work and ensure customer’s needs are understood by the technician
• Follow up with technicians and the parts department on the progress of repairs to ensure timely completion of work
• Notify customers on the status of their vehicle
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage and administer claims for qualifying repairs
• Follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
• Review completed work and charges with the customer and/or send a digital invoice for online payment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
• Must be organized, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
