Job summary

Quality Equipment, LLC, a John Deere dealer with multiple locations, seeks a Service Advisor for the Rocky Mount branch. You will handle service inquiries, open and manage work orders, and update customer profiles to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include processing warranties, assisting technicians, and supporting parts with stock and MD orders. A high school diploma and forklift ability are required; agricultural background is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate forklift.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Agricultural background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fields internal and external customer inquiries for the Service Department.
  • Opens work orders maintains control until they are closed and invoiced.
  • Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders.
  • Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders when necessary.
  • Prepares warranty and/or product improvement for submission by the Central Warranty Administrator.
  • Assists customers with mower or equipment loading/unloading when necessary.
  • Close and process RO's for payment when needed.
  • Assist technicians and provides part service including parts lookup, pulling parts from parts stock and processing MD orders.
  • Assists on the parts counter when necessary.
  • Assists with loading/unloading trucks when necessary.
  • Assist in staging equipment to be brought in/out of the service department and maintaining the lot for ease of customer pick up and delivery by branch drivers.
  • Acts as an ambassador for the dealership and protects the positive dealership image, while promoting customer loyalty and goodwill.

We are currently looking for a Service Advisor to join us in our Rocky Mount branch:

Basic Functions And Responsibilities

Experience, Skills, And Knowledge Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications, such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to operate forklift
  • Good understanding of local conditions with a knowledge of sale and resale values of machinery.
  • Must be a self-starter with good communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Agricultural background preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Noise Levels: High.
  • Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Mobility: Standing and sitting for long durations.
  • Visual: Working with PC, manuals, and close detailed work.
  • Driving: Daily - short and long distances.
  • Respiratory: Possible exposure to exhaust and dust fumes.
  • Dexterity Ability to grasp and manipulate tools and parts.
