Quality Equipment, LLC, a John Deere dealer, seeks a Service Advisor for our Polkton, NC branch. You will handle service inquiries, manage work orders, and assist technicians and parts staff in a bustling dealer environment.

Qualifications

• Basic accounting knowledge and familiarity with invoicing.
• Proficiency with MS Office and internet applications.
• Familiarity with standard office procedures.
• General mechanical/technical terminology understanding preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Understanding of local machinery resale values is helpful.
• Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid computer skills and a positive attitude.
• Agricultural background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field internal and external inquiries for the Service Department.
• Open and track work orders through completion and invoicing.
• Update customer profiles with equipment and hours data.
• Maintain service accessories and replenish replacements.
• Prepare warranty and product improvements for submission.
• Assist with loading/unloading mower or equipment when needed.
• Close and process RO’s for payment as required.
• Assist technicians with parts lookup and MD order processing.
• Support parts counter when necessary and help with truck loading.
• Stage equipment and maintain the lot for easy pickup and delivery.
• Represent the dealership and promote customer loyalty and goodwill.

We are currently looking for a Service Advisor to join us in our Polkton branch:

Basic Functions And Responsibilities

• Fields internal and external customer inquiries for the Service Department
• Opens work orders maintains control until they are closed and invoiced
• Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders
• Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders when necessary
• Prepares warranty and/or product improvement for submission by the Central Warranty Administrator
• Assists customers with mower or equipment loading/unloading when necessary.
• Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in-line with the objectives of the dealership.
• Close and process RO’s for payment when needed
• Assist technicians and provides part service including parts lookup, pulling parts from parts stock and processing MD orders (where applicable)
• Assists on the parts counter when necessary
• Assists with loading/unloading trucks when necessary (where applicable)
• Assist in staging equipment to be brought in/out of the service department and maintaining the lot for ease of customer pick up and delivery by branch drivers
• Acts as an ambassador for the dealership and protects the positive dealership image, while promoting customer loyalty and goodwill

Experience, Skills, And Knowledge Requirements

• Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications, such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
• Knowledge of office procedures.
• General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate forklift
• Good understanding of local conditions with a knowledge of sale and resale values of machinery.
• Must be a self-starter with good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Agricultural background preferred.

Physical Demands

• Noise Levels: High.
• Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Mobility: Standing and sitting for long durations.
• Visual: Working with PC, manuals, and close detailed work.
• Driving: Daily – short and long distances.
• Respiratory: Possible exposure to exhaust and dust fumes.
• Dexterity Ability to grasp and manipulate tools and parts.
