Job summary

Sun State Ford, Inc. is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, gather vehicle information, and schedule maintenance.

You will report symptoms accurately and recommend service based on vehicle age and history, while preparing cost estimates and ensuring clear communication with customers. Candidate should demonstrate an energetic personality, integrity, and strong computer skills, with a willingness to learn new technology.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly.
• Obtain customer and vehicle information.
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history.
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of labor and parts.
• Establish follow up time.
• Monitor progress of each vehicle and update customers frequently.
• Verify final invoice reconciles with work performed.
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers.

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer

• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts

Service Advisor Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus

• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant
• Very energetic personality
• A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization

• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
