Job summary

Vortex Doors, America's leading commercial and industrial door repair company, is seeking a motivated Commercial Door Service Advisor in Madison, WI. The role focuses on delivering products and services to customers, promoting retention, and coordinating with the internal service team to ensure satisfaction.

Prior experience with commercial pedestrian/industrial doors is preferred, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn new software.
• A good driving record with a valid driver's license.
• Experience in field service and commercial door experience with pedestrian and industrial doors.
• Experience in sales and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Work with Customers to provide accurate and suitable products and services to meet their needs.
• Follow up on leads provided and look for new opportunities, generating business and new leads.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader and Service Manager to achieve sales goals.
• Follow up on all pending Service Quotes within a set time frame.
• Provide some technical training to Service Technicians.
• Manage and order shop and truck materials as needed.
• Assist in Customer job scheduling and project management.
• Build valuable relationships with Customers, including key accounts.
• Promote Vortex positively.
• Identify commercial/industrial construction projects and initiate contact with general contractors/architects to gather project information and present our products and services.

Responsibilities

• Work with Customers to provide accurate and suitable products and services to meet their needs
• Follow up on leads provided and look for new opportunities, looking for ways to generate business and new leads
• Work with the Team Leader and Service Manager to achieve sales goals
• Follow up on all pending Service Quotes in a set time frame
• Provide some technical training to Service Technicians

• Provide the best Vortex experience possible

• Always promote Vortex positively
• Using lead generation tools, identify commercial and industrial construction projects that may require overhead doors, initiating contact with the general contractor and/or architect to gather project information and provide information on our products and services.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for new construction projects.
• Complete cost estimates within bid date/time.
• Present and explain the benefits of our services to potential clients.
• Negotiate terms and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Collaborate with the service and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of services and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in the CRM system.

What You Should Have

• Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Other required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn
• A good driving record with valid driver's license
• Experience in field service and commercial door experience with pedestrian and industrial doors
• Experience in sales and customer service

Work Conditions

• Full-time shifts are available between Vortex business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday and must be able to work some overtime and on-call hours.

• The job environment is fast paced and results oriented.
• Be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license.
