Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing company. The Service Advisor greets customers, coordinates repair requests, and estimates repair costs within guidelines, supporting the Service Manager with warranty documentation and repair order filing.

The role involves coordinating with Foremen for scheduling, ensuring expedient service, and advising customers on additional maintenance.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred and related transportation knowledge is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years in a related field and strong customer service focus.
• Experience with service coordination and warranty documentation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and coordinate repair requests with service team.
• Estimate repair costs within guidelines and prepare repair orders.
• Maintain proper warranty and warranty documentation for services rendered.
• Assist Service Manager and foremen with shop scheduling and tasks.
• Advise customers on needed services and upsell when appropriate.

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Service Advisor. The role of the Service Advisor ensures that customers are greeted openly and friendly; coordinates customer repair requests; estimates cost of repairs within set guidelines; assists Service Manager with clerical duties, such as documentation required for warranty, policy settlements, repair order filing and repair preparation for warranty. *Coordinates customer repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment. Coordinates with Foremen for proper work scheduling of all shop business.

• Ensures customers receive the most expedient service available through questioning and understanding repair requests.
• Works with Service Manager to ensure timely action taken and settled in areas of disputes and warranty.
• Assures all documentation necessary for sale of labor (customer, internal and warranty) is complete and properly executed.
• Inputs repair order information to data processing system and close repair orders.
• Maintains and administers shop tool and supply requirements and status.
• Informs the Service Manager of all customer complaints so they may be handled before the vehicle leaves the shop.
• Advises customer of needed service work, as well as suggests additional labor, parts, and body shop sales whenever possible (i.e., Preventive Maintenance Inspections, related service work, etc.)
• Participates in training to stay current on technical and warranty issues.
• Assists in maintaining a clean shop and office area.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications

• CDL (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in related field.
• Computer experience (preferred)
• Strong customer relations and communication skills.
