Job summary

Youth Automotive Group in Utah is seeking a Service Advisor / Service Writer to bridge customers and service technicians, document problems, and manage repair estimates. The role emphasizes clear communication, accuracy, and delivering outstanding service in a busy dealership environment.

You will schedule appointments, obtain vehicle data, explain maintenance needs, and guide customers through repairs with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training.
• History of solid and successful employment with good references.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Prior sales experience helpful.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival.
• Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair orders.
• Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Refers to service history.
• Inspects vehicle and recommends additional needed service.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Checks on progress of repair and informs customers of changes.
• Explains cost and time requirements and obtains authorization for additional repairs.
• Keeps service department forms and pricing guides up-to-date.
• Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
• Implements a quality control process to prevent comebacks.
• Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
