Job summary

Sunnybrook is seeking a part-time Server/Waitstaff to help deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents. Shifts are 3pm–7pm, with some weekend work, and the role emphasizes warm, friendly service and teamwork with the Culinary Director.

You will present menus, check dish presentation, and ensure residents leave satisfied while keeping the dining room clean and safe. Previous hospitality experience isn’t required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• No formal hospitality experience required; on-the-job training provided.

• Maintain a positive attitude during busy shifts.
• Be patient and responsive to residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dishes look presentable before serving to residents.
• Engage residents with a friendly daily menu and ensure satisfaction.
• Keep dining area and kitchen area clean and safe per guidelines.
• Communicate special requests clearly to the kitchen.
• Reset the dining room after each service and maintain its appearance.

Server / Waitstaff Job Summary

Your job as a Server / Waitstaff is key in making sure our residents enjoy great service and delicious meals. Working closely with our Culinary Director, you'll help make sure tasty dishes get smoothly from the kitchen to the table.

Responsibilities

• Check that dishes look perfect before giving them to residents.
• Talk to residents in a friendly way, share the daily menu, and make sure they're happy.
• Keep the kitchen and dining room clean and follow rules to keep the food safe.
• Tell the kitchen about any special requests clearly.
• After each meal, set up the Dining Room again and take pride in how it looks.

Qualifications

• It's cool if you've worked in a restaurant or with customers before, but we'll teach you if you're excited to learn.
• Be friendly and easy to approach to make guests feel welcome.
• Stay positive, especially when it's busy, to keep things happy.
• Be patient and understanding when customers have requests or concerns.
• Notice when things need to be clean, helping keep the dining area tidy and safe.
