Job summary

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time and part-time Servers to join our team at The Sheraton. As a Server, you will greet guests, take and deliver orders, and provide attentive service to ensure memorable experiences for our guests.

Please note this is a tipped position. The hourly pay listed does not include potential tip earnings. We offer weekly pay, training opportunities, and benefits for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience in cash handling and credit card processing.
• Beneficial to have 1 year of server experience in a high-volume environment and POS system experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus and communicate specials, answer questions, and take orders.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to service policies.
• Enter orders into POS system, process payments, and deliver checks.
• Collaborate with other servers, kitchen, and bar staff.
• Perform opening/closing, side work, and keep equipment/workspaces clean and sanitized.

As a Server, you will be responsible for representing our restaurant and providing outstanding service. Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

Pay

$7.25 - $7.25 / hour

What will you do?

• Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answer menu questions, and collect food and beverage orders.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver checks to guests.
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff.
• Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned, and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning.

More about you

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience in cash handling and credit card processing.
• Beneficial if you have one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment and experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment.
• Must be able to cross train in the Bartender role.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift 35 lbs, as well as standing, walking, and bending for long periods of time, which may include walking up stairs.
• Visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks.
