Job summary

CACI invites a Server Systems Engineer to join on-site at Elmendorf AFB in Alaska. The role focuses on designing and maintaining server and networked computer systems to support mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • HS or GED and 19 Year(s) Experience or Bachelors and 14 Year(s) Experience.
  • Systems Administration and Systems Architecture.
  • Certification: CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, or Security+ CE.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
  • Maintains workflows; upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems; fixes network issues and updates equipment/software.
  • Provide technical support in management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
  • Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues.
  • Trains end users on proper use of hardware and software.
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance.
  • Ensures data integrity; implements standard software/hardware solutions.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability via backups and archive operations.
  • Audits workstations and servers for compliance with standards and policies.
  • Ensures performance and security meet network user needs.
  • May evaluate existing systems and plan long-term strategies.
  • May coach and guide less-experienced professionals.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Server Systems Engineer to work on-site at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska.

Responsibilities:
  • Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
  • Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software
  • Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures
  • Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues
  • Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
  • Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
  • Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
  • May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

$126,100 - 277,300 USD
