Position Summary
As a Server Systems Engineer, you will enable our customers to keep their systems up and running in optimal condition to provide exceptional care with our software. This role involves troubleshooting, debugging, and developing tools to support operating systems, working closely with customer analysts and database administrators (DBA) to deploy and maintain the Epic platform, ensuring healthcare organizations can deliver around-the-clock care.
You will design server infrastructure for new customers, build their databases, and support them throughout their relationship with Epic. Responsibilities include creating disaster and contingency plans, sharing expertise in systems and database administration, coordinating with hardware vendors, and working with large-scale systems.
The team collaborates across departments, including development, technical support, testing, and implementation, offering opportunities to specialize in scripting, documentation, development, or support. This role provides valuable skills in the IT field, contributing to healthcare providers' ability to deliver quality care.
