Job summary

Shy Bird - South Boston is seeking friendly, hospitality-driven servers to join our neighborhood restaurant team. You’ll greet guests, explain menus, and help create memorable experiences through attentive service and teamwork.

You’ll develop knowledge of our food, wine, coffee and beer programs; work across the dining room and bar; and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports growth and community.

Purpose of Position:

The Server role is, like Shy Bird, multi-faceted. By day, you could be behind the counter taking orders, running food, or helping to pack takeout. By night, you're running food, opening bottles of wine, and chatting table-side. You will be trained in our food, wine, spirits and beers, helping bring these programs to life for our guests. The description below is for a Server, but everyone works side-by-side at Shy Bird, so everybody needs to be cross-trained to support one another. Chefs run food and bus tables. Support team does dishes. Servers seat guests and stock plates. We all run chicken.
