Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Oakland is seeking a dynamic Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced setting. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure accuracy while maintaining energy, enthusiasm, and a polished appearance on the floor.

As part of the hospitality team, you’ll master the menu, guide guests on selections, handle payments securely, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards to keep the dining room inviting and efficient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in hospitality or food & beverage service is a plus.
• Must obtain certifications (Alcohol Awareness, Food Handler’s Card) per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take accurate orders, ensuring needs are met from start to finish.
• Know the menu inside and out to guide guests on ingredients and specials.
• Deliver food and drinks quickly with attention to order accuracy.
• Juggle multiple tables while keeping spaces clean and service smooth.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in hospitality or food & beverage service is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests and coworkers professionally.
• Must obtain and maintain any required certifications (e.g., Alcohol Awareness, Food Handler’s Card) as per state regulations.
