Job summary

Montage International seeks a Server to join Pendry properties in the United States. You will deliver food and beverage service with attention to guest satisfaction, take orders, and suggest menu items. A friendly, professional demeanor and ability to work weekends and holidays are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum of experience in food and beverage operations
• Prior micros or other systems experience is a plus
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure food and beverage are served in a professional and timely manner
• Assist guests with menu selections and dietary needs
• Take orders accurately and communicate special requests to the kitchen
• Anticipate guest needs during service and offer desserts or coffee
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues
• Promote menu items and specials to increase sales
• Adhere to cleaning and safety standards
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings
• Follow the food and beverage sequence of service with attention to detail
• Deliver WOW moments and perform duties as needed

Your Journey

• En sure food and beverages are being served in a professional and timely manner
• Assist guests with menu selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or modifications are recorded and communicated to the kitchen staff.
• Anticipate guest needs throughout the meal service, such as refilling drinks, clearing empty plates, and offering dessert or coffee options.
• Check in with guests periodically to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any concerns or issues promptly.
• Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to guests, using suggestive selling techniques to increase sales and enhance the dining experience.
• Adhere to all cleaning and safety standards
• Attend daily pre-shift meeting
• Consistently follow the f ood & b everage sequence of service with the utmost attention to detail
• Deliver on guests' expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for the Server position is $9.50 per hour. This pay scale reflects the base hourly wage and does not include incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, or similar forms of compensation that Montage may reasonably expect to pay for the position.
