Job summary

The Quadrangle Club, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking a Server to ensure smooth dining room and lounge service for University of Chicago events and members. You will work on a shift basis, focusing on accuracy, presentation, and guest satisfaction.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years’ server experience, strong communication skills, and a Food Handlers certificate with BASSET license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years server experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to read, write and speak clearly in English.
• Food Handlers certificate and BASSET license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient food and beverage service in dining room or lounge on a shift basis.
• Expedite orders, check accuracy and presentation.
• Monitor food quality and service levels.
• Handle reservations and process guest checks via Quad P.O.S. system.
• Maintain compliance with dining room standards and assist in other F&B areas as needed.

The Club is housed in a historic facility designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw.What you will have an opportunity to do:BASIC FUNCTION:The Server is responsible for the efficient food & beverage service of the dining room and/or lounge on a shift by shift basis.QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent.Two years server experience.Excellent communication skills.Ability to read, write and speak clearly and accurately in English.Possess Food Handlers certificate and BASSET license.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Responsible for maintaining a consistently smooth-running operation.Expedite food orders, checking for accuracy and presentation.Monitor and critique food quality and service levels.Check daily boards for team side work assignments and special instructions.Pick up reservations.Prepare dining room & lounge tables for service.Processing guests checks and billing through the Quad P.O.S system.Demonstrate full compliance with the dining room & lounge STO’s and other Benchmark F&B service standards.MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.Help out in other areas of food and beverage as needed.Assist the Manager in training team members.Assist in other Food and Beverage outlets as needed.Cleans and organizes the work area.What are we looking for?Compensation:$20$20Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
