Job summary

Vista Senior Living Management, including Sugar Grove, is seeking a Server (PRN) to support dining services for residents and guests. The role involves taking orders, delivering meals, and maintaining food-service standards within a senior care setting.

Experience in senior care is preferred, with flexible hours from 7 AM to 6 PM. The position emphasizes safety, customer service, and teamwork in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities

• Take food orders, present to kitchen staff, and deliver meals to residents and guests.
• Ensure resident guest satisfaction and respond to requests quickly.
• Report resident comments or concerns to Dining Services Manager promptly; assist with bussing and table resets.
• Assist in room service as needed and complete all side work.
• Comply with state/county health codes for food handling and safety practices.
• Attend in-services and pre-shift meetings; handle china and glassware safely.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor with residents and coworkers; perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Server (PRN)

• 10-15 hours per week
• Hours vary from 7 AM to 6 PM
• Experience is not necessary but preferred

Main responsibilities:

• Takes food order, presents to kitchen staff and delivers meal to residents and guests in a proper and timely manner
• Ensures resident guest satisfaction.
• Responds quickly to resident or guest requests.
• Reports any resident comments or concerns to Dining Services Manager immediately. Assists in bussing and resetting tables
• Assists in room services as needed.
• Completes all side work as assigned.
• Complies with all state and county health codes for food handling.
• Attends all in-services training and pre-shift meetings.
• Handles china, glassware and equipment safely and quietly to minimize breakage.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Preferably has experience in senior care
