What You’ll Do:

• Greet guests with enthusiasm using “Irasshaimase,” “Gladly,” and “Arigato”—hospitality is key!
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations about the menu, including sushi, drinks, and specials.
• Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders, ensuring exceptional service.
• Promote and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• Assist with table setup, mise en place, and general cleanliness of the dining area.
• Ensure that tables are properly set and symmetrically arranged before and during service.
• Process payments promptly and present checks to customers efficiently.
• Step in as a host when needed, welcoming and seating guests professionally.
• Monitor the bar and kitchen for shortages and communicate with the team to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of service.
• Maintain a positive attitude and team spirit, assisting colleagues whenever necessary.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
• Must be able to lift up to 33 pounds and occasionally push carts or work equipment.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch as needed.
• Strong auditory, visual, and mental acuity to engage with guests and team members effectively.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.
• Must have up-to-date Food Handler and TABC certifications.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Professional appearance and proper uniform (name tag and necessary work equipment required).
• Personal hygiene and grooming standards must be impeccable.
