Position Summary

Servers at The Statehouse are responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Working collaboratively with the restaurant team, Servers ensure proper setup and smooth execution of service throughout each shift. They maintain strong product knowledge, deliver attentive service, and support fellow team members to ensure an elevated dining experience that reflects the tradition of excellence at The Edgewater.

Essential Job Functions

• Consistently deliver authentic, professional, and friendly service to all guests.
• Greet guests promptly and warmly, following The Edgewater service standards.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Handle guest requests, issues, or complaints with professionalism and **escalate** when necessary.
• Prepare stations for service and complete opening/closing checklists.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, specials, wine pairings, and bar offerings.
• Assist with banquet and event functions including plated meals, buffets, and working lunches.
• Perform side duties including restocking, cleaning, and bar support tasks such as filling ice bins, garnishing drinks, and resetting tables.
• Support restaurant cleanliness by maintaining counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
• Collaborate with servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Attend required training sessions and stay updated on service standards and restaurant policies.
• Provide support to colleagues across the restaurant and hotel when needed.

Working Conditions

The role may require extended hours, high-volume periods, and work in varying weather conditions. This role operates in a busy restaurant environment, using standard equipment including POS systems, commercial glassware washers, and bar tools.

Employees may be exposed to various workplace hazards, including but not limited to cuts, slips, trips, pinching, falls, and burns.

This is an active role requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. The position involves regular lifting of up to 10 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
