The James serves classic American fare in a warm, family-friendly James Island setting. We are seeking confident servers with weekend and Sunday availability to join our growing hospitality team, delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, upscale environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced in high volume upscale dining, minimum 1 year preferred.
• Knowledgeable and confident discussing food, wine, spirits and cocktails.
• Detail oriented, proactive and works with a sense of urgency.
• Strong communicator with a polished and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with warmth and professionalism.
• Guide guests through the menu with detailed knowledge of dishes, beverages and specials.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system efficiently.
• Deliver food and drinks in a timely, attentive manner.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to guest needs and concerns.
• Collaborate with team members, bartenders, kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections and service areas.
• Handle payments accurately and process checks using the POS system.
• Adhere to all health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Uphold the standards of service and hospitality expected in a fine dining environment.
