Job summary

Sedgebrook Senior Living is seeking a friendly, hospitality-focused Server to join our dining team. No formal serving experience is required – we’re happy to train the right person. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and providing warm, attentive service to residents.

Shift is 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, part-time with two weeknights minimum, Monday through Friday. Sedgebrook offers perks, a supportive team, and a mission to enhance daily life for seniors.

Qualifications

• Friendly customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Interest in hospitality, service, and working with older adults.
• Willingness to learn – serving experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Experience working with seniors is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, positive dining experience for residents and guests.
• Provide gracious, courteous, and attentive table service.
• Take orders, deliver meals, and respond to resident requests with care.
• Answer menu-related questions confidently (training provided).
• Set tables and maintain workstations in an organized, clean manner.
• Maintain dining room appearance and presentation standards.
• Follow food quality, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.

Job Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time Hourly

• Ability to stand and walk for 100% of the workday.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and balance throughout the shift.
