Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a part-time Server to provide courteous, efficient service at an assigned station. You will learn menus, upsell items, and ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience while handling orders, payments, and station upkeep.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to service standards, and flexibility to support restaurant operations. Prior customer service experience is a plus, with opportunities to grow within the Bass Pro Shops hospitality team.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests promptly and courteously in the assigned workstation
• Verifies guest age for alcohol service and prevents overindulgence
• Learns menus and communicates food and beverage offerings
• Records orders, enters into computer system, and transports orders to guest
• Processes guest checks and handles payments accurately
• Performs daily cleaning and station setup/breakdown
• Supports tip declaration activities and assists indirectly tipped staff
• All other duties as assigned

POSITION SUMMARY

The Server has the responsibility to serve guests in an assigned station by providing courteous and efficient service that meets or exceeds guest’s dining expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Supports a strong commitment to world class guest service and ensures a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons.
• Completes training requirements and follows service standards as trained.
• Greets guests promptly and courteously in assigned workstation.
• Understands and executes established procedures for verifying guest’s ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knows how to prevent a guest from overindulging.
• Learns all menus and can communicate all food and beverage offerings.
• Effectively uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Records food and beverage orders, enters orders into computer system, monitors status of order preparation and safely transports order from kitchen to guest.
• Monitors and addresses guest needs during meal.
• Collects monies owed for food and beverages and properly performs all guest check accountability procedures.
• Performs tip declaration activities and compensates indirectly tipped associates, i.e., Bussers, Bartenders, Runners, as per established service procedures.
• Performs daily cleaning activities.
• Performs food running and station set-up / break-down responsibilities as assigned.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma/GED preferred.

• Occasionally lifts up to 50lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Starting Pay Rate: $10.00 - $250.00
