Job summary

Vitality Living Columbia is seeking a part-time server to join our dining team in Columbia, SC. You will serve meals, record guest meals, and assist with daily dining room operations while upholding infection control policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of food safety and sanitation, and strong customer service skills. We offer a 401k and bonuses in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and ensure satisfaction.
• Record guest meals and report to Culinary Services Director.
• Report department needs and concerns to Culinary Services Director.
• Assist in meal preparation for special occasions and daily dining room operations.
• Maintain adherence to infection control policies within the dining area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Culinary Services, Sous Chef, or Cook(s).

Server Responsibilities:

• Serve delicious meals and ensure resident satisfaction
• Record guest meals and report to Business Office Director
• Recognize needs of the department and report concerns to the Culinary Services Director
• Assist in preparations for special meals and parties, as well as daily operations and cleaning of the dining room and server areas
• Ensure adherence to procedures regarding community infection control policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by Culinary Services, Sous Chef, or Cook(s)

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service; including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

• Ability to have awareness of team dynamic, inventory, safety and cleanliness
