Job summary

Nordik Spa-Nature Chelsea is seeking a Server to warmly welcome guests, take their orders, and serve with courtesy in a vibrant spa dining setting. You will manage the service area, assist with beverage and food service, and help ensure a welcoming guest experience.

Under the Restaurant Manager, you’ll contribute to a smooth operation, support inventory, and uphold hygiene standards throughout shifts. Part-time weekend coverage is required at this location.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience in the food service industry.
• Diploma in restaurant, hotel or service industry; an asset.
• Knowledge of the characteristics of different wines; an asset.
• Proficiency in restaurant software; an asset.
• Ability to work long hours on your feet.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to listen to customer needs.
• Good team spirit and positive attitude.
• Multidisciplinarity is essential.
• Good stress management (busy work environment).
• Sense of initiative.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present the menu, make suggestions and answer questions.
• Advise guests while making additional sales.
• Prepare and serve beverages, liquor and wine.
• Collect payment and record sales.
• Maintain and control inventory.
• Perform service according to the rules of the trade and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Get to know the tastes and habits of regular guests to ensure personalized service.
• Ensure everything is in place for the next shift.
• Perform closing duties (tidying up, cleaning, garbage, closing refrigerators and pantries).
• Ensure a clean space by respecting hygiene standards of MAPAQ.
• Carry out any other related task requested by her/his superior.
