Job summary

Buffalo Wild Wings in Parkersburg is seeking a Server to join our fast-paced team. You will deliver an exceptional guest experience, take accurate orders, and ensure timely service while maintaining food safety standards.

You should be reliable, customer-focused and able to upsell while acting as a knowledge expert on the menu. This role emphasizes teamwork and high-energy service with guests enjoying great wings and drinks.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience, preferably in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation and food safety procedures.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler Card.

As aBuffalo Wild Wings Server, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Creating and delivering an over-the-top guest experience that keeps our guests coming back
• Taking food and beverage orders as instructed by guests and assuring order accuracy and timely delivery
• Processing accurate and timely payments with integrity
• Serving as a menu knowledge expert in order to provide suggestions to guests based on preferences or requests
• Upselling menu items to generate higher sales
• Executing Responsible Alcohol Service in accordance with local and company regulations
• Ensuring that food safety standards are followed in accordance with local regulations
• Quickly bussing tables and resetting table supplies upon guest departure
• Successfully resolving conflicts or guest complaints as permitted by management
• Maintaining a stocked and clean serving station/dining room/workspace
• Generating positive working relationships with all team members, including the Front of House and Heart of House
• Additional duties as assigned by management

Knowledge and skills you bring to the team:

• Reliability, dependability, and good work ethic
• Prior serving experience, preferably in a high volume, full-service restaurant
• Basic food service, including proper and safe usage of appropriate restaurant equipment
• Knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety and security procedures
• Ability to maintain professional demeanor under pressure
• Proficient understanding of food allergens
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler Card
• Personable and friendly personality and ability to communicate with guests
• Strong understanding and delivery of excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
• Knowledge of basic math functions and calculations involving currency
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and with others
• Strong time management, organization, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to take direction and constructive feedback from both peers and management
• Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds
• Ability to work at a fast pace and with high intensity while standing for an extended period of time
