Job summary

SSP America is hiring servers to provide friendly guest service, process orders, and handle payments in a fast-paced environment. You will serve beverages and food items, manage changes, and keep the dining area clean and organized.

On-demand pay options and advancement opportunities accompany competitive benefits. The ideal candidate has basic food and beverage knowledge, proficient English communication, and the ability to work in a team while standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling, making change, and processing payments.
• Brand certification as required.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and POS procedures to pre-check and close out a check.
• Ability to stand in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, remove trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.
