Position Summary

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs. Assists the cook in the preparation and service of meals, meeting scheduled meal times following established policies and procedures within the dietary department to ensure residents receive the highest quality of service.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service following specific procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts, set and clean assigned dining areas.
• Accurately record refrigerator temperatures; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes, maintaining sanitation and kitchen upkeep.
• Follow Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year food service experience preferred.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to communicate clearly at all levels within the community.
• Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents, understanding their special needs.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assignments.
• Teamwork skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• ServSafe certification is desirable.

Education Requirement

High school diploma or GED.

Additional Information

Shift: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM with weekend availability. Hourly wage: $13-$15.00.
