SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provides friendly and efficient service in a timely manner to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. Shows guests genuine hospitality while providing them with a memorable experience. Look like a professional and show sincerity with a positive, friendly attitude. Performs all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and quality of work environment as directed by Manager on Duty.

POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

  1. Guest Interactions
  2. Reports to work well-groomed, in clean and proper uniform and at all times practices good personal hygiene.
  3. Greets guests in a courteous and respectable way when seated at station.
  4. Welcomes guests immediately upon seating with a non-scripted greeting.
  5. Using acquired menu knowledge, offers menu suggestions, answers questions and anticipates guests’ needs.
  6. Delivers hot food – Checks completed food orders for accuracy, appearance, and temperature; delivers to the table immediately.
  7. Shows a desire to please with your genuine hospitality, personality, and specific suggestions at every step. Actively engages guests who have concerns and remedies them. Ensures that each guest is 100% satisfied with his/her dining experience.
  8. Maintains cleanliness of dining area – pre-bussing, detailing, etc.
  9. Performs side work during shift downtime including but not limited to; rolling silverware, restocking cleaning work stations, and bussing tables.
  10. Communicates with Manager on Duty and coworkers regarding product/service deficiencies and safety problems.

Processes Orders

  1. Writes guest check and/or operates POS equipment pursuant to company policies.
  2. Anticipates, identifies, and corrects system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.

Assists Team Members

  1. Maintains service stations, garnish line, service bar, and common areas of the restaurant.
  2. Restocks service station with glasses, tea, ice, and plates.
  3. Restocks garnish line and fills condiments.
  4. Sorts, polishes, and rolls silverware.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. Extensive standing and walking for up to 8 hours.
  2. Must be able to see at a distance (20 feet), at close range (12 inches), distinguish between shapes and utilize peripheral vision to avoid hazards.
  3. Must be able to communicate clearly.
  4. Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
  5. Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2 ½ - 3 feet.
  6. Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided.
  7. Must have time management skills.
  8. Must be able to read, write, and perform addition/subtraction calculations.
  9. Must be able to control and utilize fingers to write, slice, chop, and operate equipment.
  10. Must be able to fit through openings 30” wide.
  11. Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times.
  12. Bending, reaching, walking, and carrying trays of food products weighing about 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet.
  13. Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  14. Exposure to dish and cleaning chemicals.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Receives direction and training from Manager on duty as to the specific procedures and assignments.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED:

Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught through in-house training.
