Job summary

The University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking a Server & Endpoint Operations Manager to supervise the day-to-day operation of server infrastructure, information systems, and security objectives. You will lead a team, design infrastructure activities, and coordinate with other departments to deploy cost-effective tech solutions.

Responsibilities include managing Active Directory/Entra ID, backups, disaster recovery, and security compliance, while mentoring staff and aligning with IT

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with two or more years related experience or Bachelor's with four years of related experience or Associate's with seven years of related experience.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems and network client software.
• Experience with Active Directory/Entra ID and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Knowledge of backup/recovery, monitoring, and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee server infrastructure operation and security objectives in a hybrid work setting.
• Coordinate server design, upgrades, and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage Active Directory, backups, and monitoring; support vendor relationships.
