Job Overview

The Server (Dining Room Care Manager) is responsible for providing dining and table services to residents in accordance with Sunrise Senior Living standards. Responsibilities include serving as a role model in dining service, assisting in training care managers, maintaining proper dining room setup, supporting special events, monitoring cleanliness checklists, and assisting in tabletop inventories. All food and beverages must be handled following sanitary procedures and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties

Supporting our Mission, Principles of Service, and Core Values is fundamental. Responsibilities include:

• General Dining Service: Supporting daily operations, training new care managers, maintaining menu knowledge, assisting residents with menu choices, serving meals, and ensuring service standards.
• Dining Room Maintenance: Conducting cleanliness inspections, maintaining table settings, supporting decorum, and completing opening/closing procedures.
• Resident Services: Documenting pertinent information, reviewing resident diet charts, and maintaining confidentiality.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: Practicing safe food handling, cleaning, and maintaining health standards.
• Risk Management and Safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and practicing safety procedures.
• Team Participation: Engaging actively in team activities, meetings, and training, and contributing to a positive work environment.
