Job Overview

The Server (Dining Room Care Manager) is responsible for providing dining and table services to residents in accordance with Sunrise Senior Living standards. Responsibilities include serving as a role model in providing dining service, assisting in training care managers, maintaining proper dining room setup, supporting special events, monitoring cleanliness and readiness standards, and assisting in tabletop inventories. The role involves handling all food and beverages in compliance with sanitary procedures and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties

General Dining Service

• Support daily dining room operations, ensuring a high-quality, positive, and safe environment.
• Train new care managers in dining service.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and assist residents with selections.
• Take and serve meal and beverage orders following guidelines.
• Attend pre-meal briefings and follow all food handling policies.

Dining Room Maintenance

• Perform cleanliness and readiness inspections.
• Maintain assigned tables and surrounding areas.
• Set up and reset tables per procedures.
• Support decorum and etiquette standards.

Resident Services

• Document pertinent resident information accurately.
• Review resident diet charts and maintain confidentiality.

Food Safety and Sanitation

• Practice safe food handling at all times.
• Complete cleaning assignments regularly.
• Maintain a healthy and safe work environment.

Risk Management and Safety

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Practice safety procedures, including PPE and emergency protocols.

Team Training and Success

• Participate actively in team activities and meetings.
• Demonstrate commitment to service principles and team goals.
• Maintain required training and certifications.
